Responsibilities
Hammerhands
- Assist Carpenters and head of project staff.
- Complete the task given from start to finish.
- Problem solver.
- Be able to take instruction.
- Complete a site safe passport.
- Willingness to progress in trade.
- Be reliable.
Carpenters
- Successfully follow plans and take instruction from foreman and project staff.
- Construct timber framing and structures from residential to commercial.
- Be able to read plans.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding. Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors , and door frames.
- Be a problem solver.
- Capable to plan ahead and work within a team.
- Assist when needed.
- Be reliable.
Plasterers
- Excellent technical skills in all areas of plastering.
- Must have the ability to construct realistic props and materials.
- Must be able to produce “perfect” plaster work.
- Must be able to work effectively, distressed plaster work and have a good eye every detail.
- Must be able to visualize the finished project.
- Must be literate and be able to deal with numbers.
Requirements
- At least 3-4 years working experience in a construction environment.
- Knowledgeable in the building industry and be able to follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Be equipped with hand tools and basic power tools.
- Supplied PPE safety gear to be worn appropriately.
- Have current clean driver’s license and transport.
- If requested must complete drug test.
- A Valid NZ Work Visa or a NZ Citizen.
- Must supply a current site safe ID.
- Fully equipped with tools and will needed to be tested and tagged.
